Today on the CNN Chile portal, Futuro 360, the fair organized by CEDENNA was highlighted, which brought together different leading companies to explore first-hand the various lines of research and development. The event also had the participation of the president of the Future Challenges Commission of the Upper House, Senator Ximena Rincón, who emphasized the relevance of this type of meeting and the potential that Chile has in the field of nanotechnology.

The "AdPrensa" Press Agenda highlighted the 2023 Nanotechnology Fair, which is organized annually at our Center and which included the participation of Executives from prominent companies, such as Copec, Enel, SQM, ChileCarne, Grupo Sutil, Codelco, Nestlé, ChileAlimentos, Deysa Care, Coexpan, Agrosuper among others.

Last Sunday, the digital newspaper El Mostrador highlighted the opinion column of our researcher Walter Cañón.

"The extraction and development of rare earths in Chile could not only generate employment and economic development, but also boost scientific and technological research in the country. Investment in R+D+i in this specific field would open new doors to the innovation and the development of new technologies. Today, the director of the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and the 2019 National Prize for Exact Sciences, Dr. Dora Altbir, stood out with a Letter to the Director in the newspaper La Tercera in which she expresses her opinion on the lack of opportunities for scientific development in the country.

In the 403 edition of the Government Education magazine, it was highlighted that different teachers from various regions of the country learn about nanoscience and nanotechnology, in order to transfer this knowledge to their students, also highlighting the importance of this science, also pointing out , which is part of the 3rd and 4th grade Curricular Bases and is taught in Chemistry subjects, within the Differential Humanist-Scientific Training plan.

The Office of Innovation, Development and Transfer (OIDT) convened different companies in the construction industry to early validate the patent application "Nanotechnological structural lightweight concrete". This technology was developed jointly by the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) and Professor Roberto Lavín, director of the Institute of Basic Sciences of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences and director of the Research Laboratory in University Nanotechnology.

El Mostrador, a digital newspaper, highlighted on its website and social networks our Traveling Exhibition "Images of the Nanomundo" that is being held at the Bellas Artes Metro station. This exhibition has 12 photographs captured and artistically worked by researchers and students from our Center.

Remember that the exhibition will be at the Bellas Artes station from May 15 to 27!
