CEDENNA researchers participate in innovative project for pesticide control

The website of the University of Santiago (USACH) highlighted the participation of researchers from CEDENNA and the director of the CEDENNA Foundation, Dr. Dora Altbir, in a project that seeks to contribute to the agricultural industry through the development of a portable technology for the detection and identification of pesticides in post-harvest

The initiative, funded by ANID and led by the Agricultural Research Institute (INIA), brings together specialists from different institutions, including USACH, Central University, Diego Portales University and the company DECCO.

Chilean innovation leads development of nanosatellites with smart coatings

The media outlet Cooperativa Ciencia highlighted CEDENNA's work within the framework of a national project that seeks to promote space innovation from Chile.

The initiative, led by Adolfo Ibáñez University (UAI) and with the participation of the University of Santiago de Chile (Usach) and CEDENNA, aims to develop advanced nanostructured coatings for nanosatellites, a true “smart protective skin” capable of reducing their weight, optimizing performance and generating savings of up to one million dollars per unit..

CEDENNA/USACH Researchers in Cooperativa Ciencia

CEDENNA researcher Dr. Patricia Díaz, along with Dr. Osvaldo Berger from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Santiago, Chile (USACH), were recognized by Cooperativa Ciencia for their work developing an innovative cell culture for corneal regeneration.

This research offers real hope for patients with limbal stem cell deficiency, a condition that currently lacks a cure. This advancement could allow for the recovery of vision and a significant improvement in the quality of life for many people.
